Ever since I was young, my dream has always been to have my own company, which is why I started rebirth outdoor services. I first started when I was 20 years old. I knew that I wanted to have a company, but I could never figure out what that company would do. I could not think of a job that I would love enough to create a company. At the time I had a wife and 2 kids, so I had to find a job. That's when I started working for a landscape company. Their I learned how to work in the landscape industry. As a young father of two kids, like every father, I wanted to give my kids everything. So I got another job. I had two jobs for a while, and then I thought that if I could give my kids all the money that they needed, then they would be happy. That's when I decided to get a third job. I worked three jobs for 2 years before my wife told me that my kids didn't need money, that instead they needed a father. After realizing that she was right, I quit my jobs and started working for myself.  I wanted to work for myself so that I could give my family what they need and still be their for my kids. By that time I had already spent 5 years in the landscape industry, and since it was what I did best, I decided to work in that industry. This is when I discovered that I loved the landscape industry. I loved the fact that I could create these beautiful landscapes, and always learn new things. Plus their was never a dull moment, since I got to meet new and interesting people, as well as create things that where unique. No two jobs are the same, and I loved that. On top of that I loved the feeling that I got when a customer would tell me that I did a great job and that they loved the work that I did. This is when I decided that I would start a landscape company. however, I did not start the company right away because I didn't want to start a company that would fail. At that time I was still young and I had not quite learned all the sides of the landscape company. Now that I was by myself, I had to take care of things that I didn't when I worked for some other company. I also realized that I should probably build up my reputation before I started a company. So, that's exactly what I did. I worked hard day after day to learn all about the industry, the field work, as well as the desk work. At the same time I built up my reputation and continued to work until I was sure that the company would not fail. Now I'm 41 and work to not only make my dream come true, and to provide for my family, but to also create a legacy that I can leave for my three kids.

Ever since I can remember I have always loved nature. As a kid I would spend all day outside. I would come home from school, drop my book bag on the floor and run towards the front door. I wouldn't get very far, before My mother stopped me and asked me where I was going. I would explain to her that after spending almost all day at school, I needed to go outside. my mother would look at me and tell me that I could go outside when I finished my homework. she would explain that even though I couldn't see it now, my education would be very important in the future. Even though she was right, I was a kid and all I knew was that the outside world was waiting and I was inside. I told her that I would play outside while the sun was up, and then I would do my homework when it was dark out. She would look at me with a smile and say "only if you promise to do your homework and study hard. " I would say I promise and run out the door before she could say anything else. I would spend my time playing with pine cones, sticks, and the other kids. I would race the other kids on my bike, play hide and seek, climb trees, or lay on the grass under a tree and just let the time pass. I felt that everything was complicated in my life, but when I was outside it was like I was in a completely different world. Nothing was complicated and it just was what it was. Time passed and I got older. I kept here stories about my dads work, Omar Vazquez, and  I would see pictures of what my dad would build. I remember thinking that it would be great to have a job in which I could work outside, and that's when I asked my dad if I could go with him. He would always say no, and that I still to young. Then one day he asked me " do you want to go to work with me? " I told him yes and sure enough the next day I got what I wanted. I got to go to work with my dad. At first I would pick weeds out of the grass, or pick up pine cones and sticks. Time passed and I began to love the work just as much as nature. Then I began learning how to mow the grass, and how to blow the leafs away, and so on and so on. Between the ages of 12 and 18 I would go to school during the weekdays, and work on weekends, as well as holidays. I learned everything that my dad could teach me the first few years. Then I learned to work without my dad telling me what I need to do. By the age of 15 I was working side by side with my dad. after that he started teaching me about the desk side of working in the landscape industry. I didn't find it as interesting as working outside, but I did like it better than working some part time job at a store or restaurant. My father taught me everything he new about the industry, so that when I graduated high school, we could work together to build our company. Now I'm 19 going to college and helping my father make his dream come true, while he gives me the job I always wanted.
